John Benham has served Royal Redeemer since 2016. Pastor John is our Congregational Care pastor and leads all of our care teams such as – prayer, visitation, meals, reception, and so much more! In his role, John is a second career Pastor with 35 years of business experience including: developing, training and implementing teams, processes and programs; and managing the day-to-day operation of a large Research and Development Center. He holds degrees in Biology (Univ. of Illinois) and Chemistry (Roosevelt University). He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo with an MA degree in Practical Theology. Prior to his call to Royal Redeemer, he was sole Pastor of Advent Lutheran Church in Chapel Hill, NC. Pastor John and his wife Beth have three grown children and five grandchildren. He enjoys doing projects around the house and is passionate about helping people grow spiritually through the challenges of their lives.
